I believe that every person has the potential for healing and optimal wellness, and working with a counselor can greatly help this natural process. Being heard and understood by another person is deeply healing, and in my experience the therapeutic relationship provides the safe foundation for self-exploration and courageous changes.

I will spend time getting to know you ~ your concerns, your strengths, your values, and your hopes for the future. Together we will work toward understanding your story and practice identifying resources, building on your strengths, and learning new skills. I work with each client in a unique and different way, which may include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques.

I enjoy working with clients from many different backgrounds and have worked with individuals and families around issues of child abuse and childhood trauma, parenting, significant life changes, anxiety, depression, and chronic disease management. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest Christian University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Human Services from University of Oregon.

I see clients during evening and weekend hours. Please contact me by phone or email to set up a free 20-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit to work together. My fee is $40 for a 50-minute session, and I accept cash or check for payment. I have a sliding scale option available for those in significant financial hardship.
