My style of therapy is empowering, honest and attuned. I am passionate about honoring the complexity in each individual. A good therapist should not be an authority figure, but should rather hold space for you to be seen, heard, and gently guided towards your own inner authority.
Although I honor individual experience, I acknowledge that there is not equity in our society. A complex web of privilege and oppression shapes our experiences. I aim to continually question sources of power, and hold a critical lens when engaging in counseling.
I am trained as an Art Therapist, and have seen first hand how creative process can lead to a transformed sense of self. Art therapy can be especially useful for children who do not have words for their experiences, for teens in need of catharsis and identity exploration, and for adults who seek an alternate means of gaining insight.
I am passionate about serving the LGBTQ+ and body positive communities, which I am a part of. Additionally I aim to be inclusive towards a range of identities, careers, and spiritual paths.
