I have been a psychotherapist for over 20 years and have extensive experience and success providing sensitive and compassionate therapy to individuals struggling with a wide variety of issues.
Some of these issues include: struggles with depression, anxiety, mood swings, trauma and it’s after effects, patterns of self-sabotaging behaviors, negative self-critical thinking, disordered eating, relationship difficulty, as well as difficulty adjusting to life events including loss and/or death of a loved one, divorce, transitions, and general feelings of discontentment and dissatisfaction with life.
My approach to therapy includes creating a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and respect. This forms the foundation of our work together. From there we will identify your goals and what you want to get out of therapy. I have a broad base of therapeutic knowledge and techniques to help you achieve your goals: cognitive-behavioral therapy, DBT, trauma informed therapy, and mindfulness based techniques, to name a few.
My role as your therapist includes helping you identify and build on your inner strengths and resources, being a catalyst for change when change is needed, and being a support in times of distress.
I am able to provide clinical supervision for social workers and counselors seeking licensure. (LCSW / LPC)
I am a Blue Cross/Blue Shield Preferred Provider, and bill many other insurances as an out-of-network provider. I look forward to hearing from you.
