Is it time for a change?

If you are here, odds are congratulations are in order! You are on your way toward change! Maybe you feel scared, alone, angry, frustrated, confused, anxious, or overwhelmed. Or perhaps you feel inauthentic, different, stuck, or hopeless. With a gentle approach, I will work with you to navigate, untangle, and clarify the feelings and circumstances of your life in the interest of your personal goals. Ironically, our brains are wired both to hold on to the negative in our lives as well as make real, sustained change. Let’s face it, sometimes we get stuck. I want to help you tap into the other part of our natural ability to heal, grow, transform and expand.

A little about me: I received a Master’s degree with highest honors and am certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. I practice Adlerian therapy and use evidence-based techniques which primarily consist of cognitive behavioral strategies, motivational interviewing, and rational-emotive behavior therapy. I find inspiration in neuropsychology, mindfulness practice, emotion-focused therapy and existential therapy. I have experience working with a wide range of issues. I welcome ALL clients regardless of culture, including LGBQTI clients of course!

My style is warm, energetic, light-hearted and incredibly compassionate and non-judgmental. While I am always professional and respectful of your personal challenges, I believe that laughter helps us cope, heal and connect. You will find that I often interject humor into our work together.

I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation to get to know one another and determine if it is a good fit. Subsequent sessions are $40 for a 50-minute session, with sliding scale options for individuals who would otherwise not be able to afford counseling. Payment is accepted at the time of service. I do not accept insurance at this time, but I do offer cash, check and credit card payment options for your convenience.

Have I peaked your interest? If so, please give me a call or check out my website so we can set up a free initial meeting! I look forward to getting to know you!
