I believe that we all have the inner resources to heal ourselves, and that sometimes we need guidance in accessing those abilities. To create a safe space for this transformation, I extend deep and genuine empathy, humor when helpful, and whole-hearted listening with a nonjudgmental disposition. Utilizing techniques in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Non Violent Communication and a client-centered approach, my hope is that you gain insight into your internal and external experiences so that you may form healthy connections with yourself and others. Together, we work toward increasing your satisfaction with yourself and life.<br><br>
To do so, we talk about your story and your goals. We then isolate the issues that are holding you back and implement skills that will be most helpful. When feels right to both of us, we assess progress made and discuss maintenance of changes so that you may sustain your progress without therapy.

Finding the right therapist is important; to do so I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation. My rate is $100 per 50-minute session. I do not accept insurance, and do offer a very generous sliding scale for those experiencing financial need. I reserve one slot for an adolescent (ages 13-19) financing their own therapy at $20. I see individuals, couples and families of all kinds.
