Often times we enter periods of life where we become weighed down by past experiences, stress, relationship struggles, or just feeling stuck. Everyone deserves a fulfilling life and I enjoy helping pre- teens, teens, and adults find what that means to them. My approach is open, warm, directive, and engaging.
I completed my masters degree in counseling psychology at Pacific University and I have completed training in systems theory, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.
We each bring our own unique characteristics and experiences to therapy and I use the approach that best suits your needs. I frequently incorporate creative interventions into my work because counseling is as much an art as it is a science. I often use mindfulness techniques to help you remain in the present moment so that you are able to get the most out of your counseling session.
