You don’t need to be alone while working towards your future goals, healing from the past, or both.

I am a licensed LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) with over 15 years counseling experience. I have a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. I tend towards using solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT), but have also taken additional course work in addiction/dual diagnosis treatment, DBT and EMDR (note: Although I am EMDR certified, I will not use it unless it is needed AND we have gotten to know each other for a while). I have found that I work best with adults and couples, as well as those who are struggling with addictions, trauma/anxiety or unmet intimacy needs (or all of the above).

I am very open minded to all “walks of life”, including sexualities, political leanings, ethnicities and all of the other variables that make us one big wonderful and wacky human family! I am agnostic, but I have helped those who are religious to incorporate their faith as a strength in therapy. I am known to use humor (a lot) in my sessions. While compassionate and focused on understanding you and your unique story , I am also very direct and conversational during sessions. I will not sit quietly and ask you to “tell me how that makes you feel”. And, my office is a cuss-safe zone if you tend to express your emotions that way.

If you think I might be a good fit for you, let’s have a conversation to find out more about each other. If not, I have lots of colleagues at Wise Counsel and Comfort that may be a better fit for you. We can discuss this as well.

I do not accept insurance at this time. My fee is $100, and I do have a sliding scale that is based on your income. We’ll discuss this in person or over the phone before we meet. I can also send a courtesy bill directly to your insurance asking them to reimburse you after you have paid me. They might pay you back a part of your session fee for an “out-of-network” therapist, depending on your insurance plan benefits.
