Therapy is a collaborative journey where the client is in charge. My job as a therapist is to support you through your journey.
I approach the practice of therapy from a behavioral and humanistic modality. This means I like to problem-solve and find that common place of hurt and healing we share in the human experience. My goal is to help you find what is meaningful to you in life and work towards creating the life you want.
I am a licensed psychologist with experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Control-Mastery Theory (a psychodynamic approach), and training in Expressive Arts Therapy. These eclectic approaches help me to be flexible in my work with adults. I specialize in the treatment of depression and anxiety, eating disorders, and LGTBQ+. My passion lies in working with gender identity and expression of one’s authentic self.
I like to take the first few sessions as a means to understand you and why you are seeking therapy at this time. It is important we agree to work together and determine if we are a good fit. Together we will agree on goals for treatment and a plan to reassess periodically to ensure we continue on the journey in tandem.
