I will collaborate with you to find creative ways to work through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social skills deficits, or communication issues that you may be experiencing in everyday life. I offer individualized, inventive techniques such as animal-assisted activities, art and writing, cinematherapy, gardening, mindfulness, movement therapy, and therapeutic storytelling, allowing you to personalize your therapy experience. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, depending on your needs.
I provide a compassionate, safe space for individuals of all lifestyles and welcome the opportunity to learn more about your unique experiences. I have a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling (M.R.C.) from Texas Tech University and a Master of Arts in Special Education (M.A.-SpEd) from New Mexico Highlands University. I have worked in the counseling field for four years, in a variety of environments, including working with elementary school students, young adults, and adults in vocational rehabilitation, and individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in residential and outpatient programs. In the education field, I have worked in international education with individuals with disabilities, from elementary to high school, with an emphasis on individuals with sensory or processing difficulties.
