The goal of my practice is to utilize the strengths of each individual to navigate the current challenge they are facing. My role as counselor is to listen to, support, and challenge my clients while encouraging personal development. Striving to create an environment which allows for this growth through open dialogue clear intentions and realistic goals, we can work together to overcome your current challenge.
I utilize a variety of therapy techniques including strengths-based approach, brief therapy, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, systems theory, and solution-focused therapy. While considering all aspects of an individual’s background, with a focus on trauma informed care, my goal will always be to meet a client where they are and support them through their counseling journey. I strive to create a space that allows a client to always feel safe, supported, and respected.
My experience includes working with children, youth, families, adults, older adults and small groups in a variety of settings. I have worked with individuals facing an array of challenges, some of which include anxiety, abuse, grief and loss, suicidal ideation, depression, traumatic events, substance abuse, acute crisis, and domestic violence.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers. I received my masters degree in social work from University of Southern California and I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
