Starting therapy is the beginning of a journey to find a more connected and fulfilling relationship with ourselves, others and the world we live in.
My goal as a therapist is to assist you in uncovering your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. By applying mindfulness-based and modern therapeutic approaches, we will uncover the negative perceptions or behavior patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more balanced, happy and fulfilling life.
Whether it is managing your emotions, improving your relationship, managing stress or understanding yourself, I can help you navigate through these challenging times. I use a collaborative and strength-based approach with integrative interventions to treat both the mind and body for a holistic healing experience. My approach to counseling is dynamic and rooted in a variety of methods, including attachment and psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based interventions. Although I am trained in different methods of counseling, the method we use is always based on your unique needs and circumstances.
Over the years I have enjoyed working with clients of all ages, addressing needs in various settings. My passion for social justice and helping others draws from my own personal experience as a wounded healer, a parent and a military veteran. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Hawaii Pacific University. I am registered with the Oregon Board of Social Workers as a Clinical Social Work Associate and am under direct supervision of Sarah Martin, LCSW.
My standard rate is $60 per 50 min session. I do reserve spots for sliding fee scale for those experiencing financial hardship and I also offer a free telephone consultation. I am honored to be a part of your journey. Together, we will find the life balance you have been looking for.
