Counseling and life are . . . What You Make It!
I believe that counseling is a way to grow and change for continued happiness and overall well
being. It is my strong belief that counseling should be available to all individuals with focused
and devoted time to you and your needs. I primarily practice cognitive behavior therapy,
meaning that I will support you in recognizing your thoughts differently to effect change in your
behavior and life.
I am licensed in Oregon and Washington State!
Currently, I am completing a Doctorate Degree in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior. I hold
a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University (a CACREP accredited
program), and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Washington State University. I am also a
member of the American Counseling Association, the Oregon Mental Health Counseling
Association, and the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). I have
been in the social service field working with individuals with intellectual and developmental
disabilities for over sixteen years, primarily with adults, but I have worked significantly with
adolescents in a Special School Program within Portland Public Schools.
I am passionate about providing care and acceptance to individuals with adversity.
I am LGBTQI friendly and affirming.
I look forward to hearing from you so that we can schedule a complimentary 30 minute session
to see if we can build a therapeutic relationship.
If it seems that I am not the best person to meet your counseling needs, I encourage you to learn more about my colleagues at Wise Counsel & Comfort. Please call me to schedule your first appointment; I look forward to meeting you.
