Counseling and Life are what you make it…
I believe that counseling is a way to grow and change for continued happiness and overall well being. It is my strong belief that counseling should be available to all individuals with focused and devoted time to you and your needs. I practice cognitive behavior therapy, meaning that I will support you in recognizing your thoughts differently to effect change in your behavior and life.
I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University (a CACREP accredited program), and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Washington State University. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association and the Oregon Mental Health Counseling Association. I have been in the social service field working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over ten years, primarily with adults, but I have worked with adolescents as well. I am currently working toward my LPC license.
I am passionate about providing care and acceptance to individuals with adversity. I am LGBTQI friendly.
I look forward to hearing from you so that we can schedule a complimentary 30 minute session to see if we can build a therapeutic relationship. My fee is just $60 for a 50 minute session; I do not accept insurance, however, I do offer a sliding scale fee to keep it affordable for you. If it seems that I am not the best person to meet your counseling needs, I encourage you to learn more about my colleagues at Wise Counsel & Comfort.
Please call me to schedule your first appointment; I look forward to meeting you.
