Seeking out therapy when feeling overwhelmed or “stuck” is an act of courage. As a therapist, I am committed to providing a safe space for my clients to talk through their roadblocks, life transitions, and to process adverse experiences. It’s also a place for clients to challenge deeply-held beliefs that may no longer help them in their present lives. I use a strengths-based approach and strive to provide a non-judgmental and validating environment. I trust that my clients are experts of their own lives and my role is coach and collaborator.
My areas of expertise include anxiety disorders (OCD, phobias, panic), depression, trauma, feelings of shame, and chronic pain. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy) which has been shown to be very helpful in processing trauma and other adverse life experiences. I am trained in implementing EMDR sessions over video sessions. I enjoy facilitating CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) which is effective in treating anxiety disorders. I encourage and teach mindfulness techniques as I believe it to be an essential starting-off point to recovery.
My rate is $125 per one-hour session. Some sessions of EMDR and ERP may stretch to 90 minutes which may increase cost. I reserve one sliding scale spot for those who may be experiencing financial hardship for $50 per session. I am currently not accepting insurance but anticipate being able to accept Medicare, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, and PacificSource in the coming months. Please inquire about the status of these in your message.
If you are interested in becoming a client, I am pleased to offer a free 30-minute complimentary consultation to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
